Plans will follow for another trip  of St Monica’s guild for a pilgrimage to Saint Luke's Church in Smithfield, Virginia. Established in 1632 as the oldest gothic structure in the colonies, it was the inspiration for our Church of the Good Shepherd built in 1908.

Nine women met at the church Saturday October 7 at 9:00 AM to carpool to Smithfield, tour the church and grounds and stop for lunch in Smithfield before returning mid afternoon.   We drove about an hour in pouring rain and finally had to turn around when we saw a flooded section ahead.

Thanks, Rachel, for going on the adventure.    Below is the view for the morning!
