Anglican Identity will be offered during Lent by Father Terry. Please click on the link to learn about this class.
Please let Father Terry or one of the Sunday ushers or a member of the Vestry know that you are interested in the Rector’s Inquirer Class, which is described below.
The Rector’s Inquirer Class is an eight-week course on the beliefs and practices of the Episcopal Church and is led by the rector on Sunday mornings from 11:00 – 12:00. The class is designed for those who are seeking full membership in the Episcopal Church – or are thinking about it – and want to learn more about our church; for those who are already confirmed but would like a refresher course in Christian beliefs and practices; and for those who are preparing for baptism or intend to present their child for baptism. It is also an excellent way for those who are new or relatively new to connect with a small group of fellow parishioners. Topics include:
- Worship and sacraments: a guide to the Prayer Book and particularly to the Holy Eucharist
- The History and organization of the Episcopal Church
- Similarities and differences between Episcopalians and Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Methodists, etc
- The role of the Bible
- Finding your place in the mission and outreach of Good Shepherd
The class culminates in confirmation by the bishop.
