To Know Christ and to Make Him Known

Rector’s Inquirer Class

Please let us know if you are interested in this class, which is described below!

AG_credenceThe Rector’s Inquirer Class is an eight-week course on the beliefs and practices of the Episcopal Church and is led by Ross Wright on Sunday mornings from 11:00 – 12:00. The class is designed for those who are seeking full membership in the Episcopal Church – or are thinking about it – and want to learn more about our church; for those who are already confirmed but would like a refresher course in Christian beliefs and practices; and for those who are preparing for baptism or intend to present their child for baptism. It is also an excellent way for those who are new or relatively new to connect with a small group of fellow parishioners. Topics include:

  • Worship and sacraments: a guide to the Prayer Book and particularly to the Holy Eucharist
  • The History and organization of the Episcopal Church
  • Similarities and differences between Episcopalians and Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Methodists, etc
  • The role of the Bible
  • Finding your place in the mission and outreach of Good Shepherd

The class culminates in confirmation by the bishop.
