To Know Christ and to Make Him Known

Adult Class & Bible Study Meetings

Sunday Morning: Adult Class

The Screwtape Letters

After taking a break for Covid, Jim Riddle is back to resume his course of C. S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters. At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, the Letters relates the correspondence of the worldly-wise old Devil to his nephew, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man. This unusual, inverted perspective presents us with insight, and thus a forewarning, about how we are tempted away from God.
Join Jim after coffee hour at 11:15 a.m. in the Choir Room for the next three Sundays: May 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd.
No prior knowledge or reading is necessary to participate.

Thursday Afternoon: Women’s Bible Study

The Letters of John

After pausing during the Alpha class and Holy Week, the in-person weekly Thursday afternoon Bible Study meetings are resuming at 3:00 p.m. on April 28th in the downstairs altar guild room. Our continuing study will cover  the last four lessons left in our study guide on the letters of John – beginning with Week 9, 2 John:1-6. These lessons will take us through May 19th and then we can turn our thoughts toward our summer dinners and book discussions.
For those not ready or able to meet in person, there will be a live zoom. If more than 2 people are zooming, we will stop and restart after 40 minutes. The invitation to zoom is sent by email to those who have signed up.
New-comers to our meetings are always warmly welcomed.  For more information, please contact info@goodshepherdrichmond.org .
(We are a relaxed group of friendly people who enjoy our time together as we study the Word of God.)

Friday Morning: Men’s Bible Study

Our meetings are held each Friday at 7 a.m. on the back porch of a member’s home —  except for the 1st Friday of the month, when we gather at 7 a.m. for fellowship and breakfast at Eat 66, a restaurant in the Stratford Hills Shopping Center on Forest Hill Ave. at Hathaway Rd.
Come join us and discover where our journey through the Bible is taking us in 2022! No experience necessary, just a desire to explore God’s Word.
