“Whoever you are and wherever you might be on your spiritual journey, the Church of the Good Shepherd invites you to join with us as we seek to experience God’s grace and mercies, to celebrate His goodness, and to grow in the likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ.”
– Father Terry
The Church of the Good Shepherd is an historic Episcopal church in the Forest Hill area of Richmond, Virginia. Founded in 1908, the congregation has been worshipping, growing, and serving the community for over a century.

Although our church building stands just blocks from both the James River and Forest Hill Park, our parishioners come from as far away as Powhattan and Hanover and as close by as just a block away.

Among our members today you will find conservatives and liberals, singles and couples, children, parents and grandparents, lifelong Episcopalians and many new to the Episcopal Church. We come together each Sunday to worship, to be formed in the faith and to be empowered for our ministry in the world.
