Community
The Church of the Good Shepherd is an historic Episcopal church in the Forest Hill area of Richmond, Virginia. Founded in 1908, the congregation has been worshipping, growing, and serving the community for over a century.
Although our church building stands just blocks from both the James River and Forest Hill park, our parishioners come from as far away as Richmond’s surrounding counties and areas “North of the River” and as close by as our surrounding “South of the River” neighborhoods.

Among our members today, you will find conservatives and liberals; singles and couples; children, parents, and grandparents; lifelong Episcopalians and many new to the Episcopal Church. We come together each Sunday to worship, to be formed in the faith and to be empowered for ministry in the world.
